The environment is very important for the development of a young person

It builds a solid foundation for future personality, influences attitudes, skills, and knowledge. It provides support and motivation for action. It also helps in developing self-confidence, social skills, and the ability to cope with stress and difficult situations.

Furthermore, it supports a young person in understanding values, learning principles, and shaping goals that will help them achieve personal success.

    • Evaluation system used in school has a direct impact on student development. It can influence their sense of self-worth, self-assessment, and motivation to learn. It is important that evaluation is based on objective criteria and a constructive approach, taking into account the student’s development. It should appreciate the student’s progress and indicate directions for further development. The goal of evaluation should also be to encourage the student to make independent efforts, which can improve their self-discipline skills and increase engagement in learning.

      Considering the above criteria, AI schools have adopted a diverse and student-centered evaluation model.

      In grades 1-3, we use formative assessment. In the early stages of education, every grade is extremely important for the student! It builds their sense of value and, above all, provides them with honest feedback on what they are doing well and what they need to work on. Teachers receive information from students about what helps them learn and plan lessons accordingly. Students are aware of what they are learning and how they are acquiring knowledge. Both teachers and students focus on the process rather than just the end result.

      The appropriate environment and a good teacher are important factors influencing a student’s development and success. AI creates a development environment for students in which they can feel safe and respected. Our students receive support and knowledge from a qualified team that can provide them with the necessary tools. It is also important for us to have close cooperation between the school and parents so that our actions are consistent, and students can achieve their goals. Furthermore, through good collaboration between family and school, students have the opportunity to express themselves safely and be open to working with peers, which helps them shape their character and social skills.

      For the student’s development, it is extremely important to have the opportunity to actively participate in school life. Practicing, experiencing, and collaborating in a group have a positive impact on their development. They lead to increased satisfaction for both students and teachers and allow students to fully utilize their potential. Additionally, learning through exploration, experience, and collaboration has a significant influence on the development of key competencies and leadership skills.

      At Academy International schools, we organize many events and activities for both students and families. Every year, students along with teachers go on field trips to interesting natural locations. The program, themes, and types of activities are closely related to the place where the students are staying.

Some see uniformity as a positive change in the right direction, while others question its significance. Research shows that the influence of clothing on students is minimal or insignificant. Its positive impact may depend on many factors such as the norms accepted in a given environment, the quality of the clothing, overall satisfaction, and acceptance. For parents and students, a school dress code can be quite a challenge, but it can also be very helpful in standardizing daily wardrobe.

      The introduction of a uniform school dress code also has an important advantage, for example, it eliminates the formation of divisions due to material status. A uniform dress style organizes the environment. Clothes do not distract.

      What dilemmas can a standardized dress code create for young people?

      Experimenting with clothing is a natural stage in the development of young people, it can also be a way of expressing group affiliation or emphasizing one’s own individuality and personality. Students have the right to be different and express themselves through their appearance. That is why in AI schools, we have proposed Friday as a day free from the school dress code.

      Dress code and school ceremonies

      Different rules apply to ceremonies, exams, competitions, and other occasions where a student represents the school. In our schools, formal attire is required. White polo shirts are replaced by shirts. Students wear ties, and female students wear bow ties. Casual look is replaced by elegance.
